“Be a Hero” is an animation with the subject of tree and tree planting, it was produced in 2017.

This animation was produced for broadcasting in various media with the target audience of children and adolescents.

The goal of the “Be a Hero” animation is to create a sense of empathy and collaboration between children and teens to preserve the environment by encouraging tree planting.

PRODUCTION

The duration of this animation is one minute which is made in two-dimensional digital cut-out technique.

The process of producing “Be a Hero” animation involves these steps:

Idea, Script, Directing, Character Design, Space Design, Animation, Sound and Music.

Story & Screenplay

The story is based on tree planting and The hero must be a child to create a sense of connection between children.

The hero is confronted with a problem called smoke that has left all the inhabitants of the city. He pushes the smoke out of the city with the help of the tree and his friends.

Characters

In the “Be a Hero” a main character and several sub characters are designed.

The main character is a boy who looks like a fighter with a wooden sword and a cape. Other characters are people of different ages.

The smoke that people were running away from it, was also designed as a negative character.

Graphic & Backgrounds

Because of the short time of “Be a Hero” animation, only one long shot (original) and two short shots were used.

The first view is an open view of the vast plain where the boy is playing. The next two views are similar to the satellite view of the Iranian region and a view of the Earth.

Music & Sound design

The sound effects and music in the “Be a Hero” animation have made the story more effective. Music and sound are performed in the sound department of the animation department.

“Be a Hero” was produced to fulfill the social mission of the company. This animation was released on the occasion of the Tree Day in social media.
